my successor must come from apc -Adams oshiomole

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo has on Sunday, November 22, stated the conditions necessary for his ideal successor ahead of the 2016 governorship election in the state.

According to Daily Post, Governor Oshiomhole declared that the person to succeed him must be one who has passion for the state and is elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The governor who also on the platform of the APC further in his description said that his ideal successor would be that person who must have the managerial competence to drive and ensure that the state witnesses more growth and development than during his tenure.
In his briefing with in Benin City, the state capital, Oshiomhole boasted that no matter the candidate to be fielded by the Peoples Democratic Party, the APC will easily defeat him or her during the next year’s election.
Oshiomhole said that during his administration, that he has been able to rediscover the state and make the people to have confidence that Edo was viable.
The comrade said in the statement: “Today the Edo man has regained confidence, there is no question now that the state is capable of developing and that we can do something about the problem of infrastructure, flooding, restoring integrity to public schools and restoring integrity to public healthcare system.
“The problem we are having in Edo today is that PDP cannot show you one clean road with street light, with drainage that they did that is still there. The only thing you can see are the ones Ogbemudia did. If the PDP had laid some foundations we would have gone far today, we started form minus and minus to zero.
Governor Oshiomhole who noted that the next governor will be building on positives said that he was confident that the next governor will come from the APC owing to the reason, as he said, that the PDP has neither the messenger nor can they have a credible message.
In another development, the governor made an insistence that the N18,000 minimum wage must be paid against all odds, thereby disagreeing with other governors, who were skeptical about it taking to consideration the present economic situation in Nigeria.
