Brad Pitt is not “humiliated” by his and Angelina Jolie’s new movie, By the Sea, nor is the aftermath of the film causing them marriage problems, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story. We’re told it’s “complete nonsense.”
According to Star, Pitt is embarrassed by the poor reviews and box office performance of the film, which Jolie also wrote and directed. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Brad can’t stop cringing. He feels humiliated. He never wanted to do this film, but Angie kept twisting his arm.”
The tabloid’s supposed “insider” goes on to claim that the film’s plot, which revolves around a couple whose marriage is in crisis, has spilled over into Pitt and Jolie’s real life. The magazine’s questionable source also alleges that Pitt is frustrated with promoting the movie alongside his wife, because he feels she’s “let the fame go to her head.”
Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the couple, and we’re exclusively assured the tabloid’s claims are “complete nonsense.” Not only is Pitt proud of By the Sea and his wife’s work on it, but the couple’s promotional tour has been an enjoyable time together, and not caused any marriage problems. Our insider notes that Pitt and Jolie are film veterans who understand that not every movie resonates with audiences.
Of course, Gossip Cop isn’t surprised that Star is alleging more marital issues between the superstar couple.
