Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero was named Player of the Year at the North West Football Awards, while Everton defender Phil Jagielka scooped Goal of the Season.
The Argentina international has scored 21 goals in 32 appearances for City in 2015 helping them to finish second in the Premier League last season and lead the table after 12 games this campaign.

Jagielka was honoured for his breath-taking last-minute goal in the 1-1 Merseyside derby draw with Liverpool.Manchester City’s Jill Scott took home Women’s Player of the Year, Simon Grayson won Manager of the Year after taking Preston to the Championship and Blackburn’s Tony Parkes received a Lifetime Achievement award.
